Privacy Policy

Amanda VanTassel’s Dog Training Services collects, stores, and uses personal information provided by users. This document explains what information is collected, why it’s collected, how it’s kept safe, and how you can contact us if you have any concerns about the data we collect. Please note: your information will never be given or sold to another person or company.
Typical Information Requested
- Name – to track clients/dogs
- Email – for communication with your trainer
- Phone Number – this is optional and is used to notify of late arrival to a session or emergency purposes
- Home Address – this is required for private in-home training only
We only request information required to register the client for the appropriate service. As an example, if you register for a group class you will not be asked for your home address.
Payment Information
Payments can be made by cash or e-transfer, in which case no banking information is shared. Clients can opt to make payments online with a credit card, using Square Invoices. When clients pay the invoice, Amanda VanTassel’s Dog Training Services does not see or store your credit card information. Square’s privacy policy can be viewed here.
Website Tracking
The company uses WordPress to host its website and receives some user data when visiting the website. Your IP address is tracked, the length of time spent on a web page and the pages you visited. You are not personally identifiable using this information but it helps me learn which pages (and services) people are most interested in and the IP address confirms you are local (allowing me to disregard any spam bots). Again, this information is not shared with any other company or person.
The company also uses Google Calendar to book private training sessions; clients enter their name, address and email address when scheduling. You can find Google’s privacy policy here.
Marketing
When registering for a newsletter or free resource you provide your name and email address. You may unsubscribe from these emails at any time and it will not affect your ability to communicate with Amanda VanTassel’s Dog Training Services regarding ongoing or future training. An option to unsubscribe is provided at the end of each marketing email or you can email nohassledogtraining@gmail.com to be removed.
Access to Your Information
It is your information and you have a right to it! Please email Amanda at nohassledogtraining@gmail.com to request a record of your information that is held by Amanda VanTassel’s Dog Training Services.
