If walks feel stressful, frustrating, or exhausting, you’re not alone. Many dogs struggle to stay calm, focused, or connected once they’re outside — especially around distractions.
Pawsitive Strides is a leash walking training program designed to help dogs build better focus, calmer behavior, and practical walking skills, while giving owners clear guidance and support along the way.

This program is a great fit if:
Your dog pulls, lunges, or struggles to focus on walks
Walks feel more stressful than enjoyable
You want help with leash skills without full private training
You benefit from structure, accountability, and guided practice
You want real progress in real-world environments
Pawsitive Strides combines small-group learning with private, real-world practice.

You’ll start with four small group sessions focused on foundational leash walking skills. Classes are capped at four dogs to allow plenty of individual support, practice time, and coaching.

After the group portion, you’ll move into two private lessons where we apply those skills in real-life locations that challenge your dog — like your neighborhood, a busy area, or other dog-friendly environments.
Depending on your dog and goals, training may include:
Loose leash walking skills
Engagement and focus around distractions
Calmer responses to people, dogs, and environments
Building confidence on walks
Helping dogs recover more quickly when things get overwhelming

4 small group classes (maximum of 4 dogs)
2 private lessons (30 minutes each)
Classes held at The Paw Pad in Timberlea
Private lessons held in real-world locations
Recap emails after each class with video demos and resources
Email support Monday to Friday
